Parent and Family Resources
As a family member of a GCU student, you are now officially part of our extended Lope family. The role you have in the life of your student over their college career plays an integral part in the success they will have on campus. College is a time of growth in terms of your student’s academic pursuits, personal development and spiritual formation — and we want to partner with you in that endeavor.
Throughout your student's time at GCU, our office can offer support and provide you with resources to stay connected. We encourage you to take part in events tailored just for you. To stay informed, be sure to sign up for the GCU Family Communication Portal and participate in a Lope Family Group near you. To be even more involved, apply to be part of our Parent Council in the spring.
We pray that this year brings many blessings, and we look forward to seeing you on campus.

Family Weekend
Family Weekend is a great opportunity for parents and families to visit their students and see our beautiful, growing campus. We plan fun activities your family can enjoy together as you experience Lope Life every October!
Lope Family Groups
A Lope Family Group is a great way to connect with other GCU families in your area. Groups meet monthly to pray, pack care packages or serve the community. To join a Lope Family Group, view the current list and sign up.
Serve With GCU CityServe
On the last Saturday of February, families and students have the opportunity to serve with GCU CityServe through a half-day service project. As of August 2023, over 9,400 volunteers and over 27,500 volunteer hours have served nearly 27,000 local families in need through CityServe.
Giving Opportunities
Philanthropy plays a vital role in making an exceptional student experience possible for current and future Lopes. We know a portion of your heart is here with us in the form of your son or daughter, and it is our privilege to partner with you to help your student have an amazing college experience. Visit GCU Giving to learn more about how you can support the programs most important to you and your student.
Parent Council
Parent Council is comprised of parent volunteers who serve as liaisons to GCU. The Parent Council meets on campus twice per year with the goal of serving parents and their students, participating as volunteers during university events or programs and helping to generate ideas for parent and family programming.
Applications for Parent Council open every spring.
