Need Help?

Welcome to Lope Country

The Office of Welcome Programs serves incoming, new students and families through an orientation and transition process that builds connection to campus life.

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is designed to equip you with everything you need to thrive in your new life as a Lope! At New Student Orientation, you will have the chance to connect with other new students and families, explore opportunities for campus involvement, meet with an advisor regarding your class schedule and financial aid, pick up your ID and parking pass and so much more! Parents and families are invited to attend as well.

New Student Orientation is mandatory for all new students. Arizona residents are required to attend New Student Orientation in the summer. Out-of-state students are invited to attend Summer New Student Orientation, but if travel plans prevent you from joining us we will host New Student Orientation during Welcome Week for you as well.

Summer New Student Orientation will run from 9 am - 1:30 pm. From 1:30 - 3:30 pm, we will host the New Lope Pool Party and Family Open House to get you even more involved in life as a Lope. Students, bring your swimsuit and towel, and get excited to meet new friends!

Our extended adventure orientation, Beyond Lope Country, has been cancelled for summer 2019. However, we’d love to help you get involved in campus and outdoor recreation opportunities at GCU! Attend summer NSO to meet Campus Recreation staff or click here to learn more about how you can get involved once the semester begins!
